Should I use ceramic tile in a basement appartment?
we have a flooding problem so i don’t want to use carpet anymore.

You could possibly, but why would you need to spend all that cash on tiles. If you dont have a water problem within the basement, there are 2 things you can use which might be cheap to make use of down there…first, look into a laminate floor. Very durable and inexpensive, or second, an epoxy ground that gets painted on.

Question by Julia: Can you install wood floors over concrete floor?
I simply purchased a house with out a basement. The house is built on a concrete slab, subsequently the entire flooring are concrete. Is it potential to put in wood flooring over the concrete? In that case, what are the pros and cons of this? I’d admire any perception you will have on this or any stories of experience. Thanks!

Sure! Put in a vapor barrier, then have at it.

Question by whyme: hardwood flooring? Best place to buy & good quality?
I’m trying to remodel my house & change all my flooring to hardwood floor,I live in the Western Suburb of Chicago, I heard Lumber Liquidation doesn’t have good quality, Home Depot doesn’t have the color of the wood I want in real hardwood, heard many bad review about Lowes products, I don’t know about Menards. Anybody ever got hardwood flooring from Menards before? Please let me know about their quality,so far it has very decent price. The brand of their hardwood is Great Lake Wood flooring. or what’s about Century tile hardwood flooring? Please let me know asap. Thanks!

at the moment I’m dwelling with my parents. my parents have carpet in every room except the kitchen and bathroom and one bed room. three years ago my dad put bamboo wooden flooring within the one mattress room which prices 199 sq. foot. I am going to interchange the carpet in my mattress room with wood flooring. I used to be reading some critiques on the bamboo flooring my parents acquired and most had been good however some mentioned the flooring can scratch easily and even dent easily. I undecided if that is true since the room with the flooring shouldn’t be used much at all I was thinking of getting one thing higher and my mother and father can use the same flooring I buy in the remainder of the home when they determine to get rid of the carpet. would this be a good suggestion or ought to I simply get the bamboo to match the opposite room. My parents have informed me I can purchase any thing I want. I just do not wish to get the bamboo after which wish I had spent just a little more to get something better I might moderately spend a little bit more and get one thing of higher quality. I simply wasn’t positive if it might be better to get one thing that was lesser high quality however matched the opposite room

Question by : Can I use the Dewalt DC618K nail gun to install hardwood floors?
I was planning on installing locking hardwood floors but have read some mixed reviews on them. So now if I want to install real hardwood floors, can I use my nail gun?

Only for the first row. After that, the floor boards are blind nailed through the tongue with a flooring nailer or stapler. This is much more secure, and looks better, then face nailing the boards. As you drive the nails/staples, it pulls the boards tight to the previous row and closes the gaps. Hope this helps.

Question by Grayson: Has anybody used FloorFil laminate repair?
We had a ceramic plate fall on our laminate floor in our kitchen, and it’s left several nicks and scratches in our floor. This says it can cover them up but I can’t find any good reviews(. I haven’t used it but it sure reminds of the crap that they sold when I was kid that was supposed to patch your vinyl chairs. It never looked quite right.
